Welcome: Daddy is Pregnant Again

Hello and Welcome to my secondary blogger. In this blog, I not only have dedicated it to seahorses, but also to my artwork in general. Why a separate blog you ask? Well, my old ones are more personal, more towards rants, life, and general upkeep of information. This one is connected to my new YouTube account for artwork and video posts. This one will consider the same idea. I already had the gmail account to connect with my new YouTube, but i figured since Google now has control over blogger as well, I might as well create a separate blogspot in general. Make the most of it, right? If you can't beat 'em, join them!

So here I will post videos and drawings done by me whether uploaded from a phone quality or actual camcorder I wish to someday have. I am already planning my BodyCam project for my New Media Art class, and I hope soon this weekend to get started whether borrowing a camcorder from the NMA lab or buying a fairly decent and cheap one for myself. I am just now learning how to edit videos and I hope soon to be able to post some amazing works for you all. I started experimenting with Final Cut Pro in class and I used Blockhead's "The Music Scene" as a test subject. I may post what I changed on here rather than on YouTube to avoid any copyright laws. I may also link or post videos of video art that was shown in class to spread the talent around from other artists!

I also want to post some of my paintings I am doing in my watercolor class and also some of my more personal artwork. Hopefully, I look forward to buying a new set of colored pencils and working with them again. I also hope to finish this Greek Gods project I am personally working on. I will talk more about it down below, but first let me introduce myself.

I am a New Media Art major hoping to get a degree towards Character Design in Animation. I have been drawing since I was four and creating my own stories with friends since I was thirteen. I love anime and manga, cartoons, and comics and yes, I am also a female gamer. I don't obsessively play games due to lack of consoles, but I do enjoy watching and playing video games with friends. I am very mature for my age and yet I look younger than I actually am. I am ambidextrous both in writing and drawing and I will post images of my left-handed work the more I improve with it. I hope to one day join an animation team or create my own manga. I also, one day when I retire or get to an age where I am more comfortable creating my own business or managing my own anime and art shop. Where I live, there are limited amount of anime shops and I have always been bummed about it. And I really want a huge place to incorporate a lot of anime-lover needs such as cosplay, fashion, art, anime and manga, Japanese food and trinkets, cyberwear, and maybe seasonal wear such as Halloween. I think it would benefit the area to have everything or mostly everything in one big go. There will be more info about me in a separate tab later, so look for it!

Now for the coup de grĂ¢ce.

Greek Mythology:

Zeus overthrew his Father Cronus. He then drew lots with his brothers Poseidon and Hades. Zeus won the draw and became the supreme ruler of the gods. He is lord of the sky, the rain god. His weapon is a thunderbolt which he hurls at those who displease him. He is married to Hera but, is famous for his many affairs. He is also known to punish those that lie or break oaths.

My take on the original story is: What if Zeus lost the battle with Cronus and never became a Greek God?

My idea is Cronus punished Zeus for his disrespect and sentenced him and all the other Greek Gods to Earth to live out their days as high-school teenagers. Grounded and limited in power and strength, Zeus and his two brothers Poseidon and Hades, are stuck in an endless cycle for centuries living out their lives as high schoolers. Way to ruin it for everyone Zeus!  Now, he and his brothers are running a muck, tired of this endless cycle of going to school, creating havoc and mayhem wherever they go. Zeus now limited from thunderbolts to electricity, Poseidon from ocean waves to water fountains, and Hades from Lord of the Dead to a real lady killer. Not to mention the Goddesses who are tired of having the boys walk all over them in sexist old-fashion ignorance. What must they learn to regain their status in Olympus? Can they compromise to finally know what it means to rule?
